DEFINING: 0 – 25 (35)
Do you remember the song by Kenny Loggins in the movie Top Gun? My friend you are in the Danger Zone. Finding you online will be very difficult for recruiters, potentially employers and even the boy or girl you would like to take out on a date. Yes, even they will Google you.

One thing to note here. The score in the Define step can actually creep up to 35. This happens usually because you have a unique name. This good news for you however, if you can't answer the following question then you really need to start with this step before moving to Step Two Integrate.

“What do you want to be known for?”

If you can answer this question great. If not stay in the Define step, work through the exercises in the work book because the simple truth is opportunities are passing you by with you even knowing. Here are some quick action steps you can take to start elevating your online brand.

Symptoms of the Define Step
“I'm not sure If I'm branding myself correctly.”

“I don't know what my brand is supposed to be.”

“I'm not really aware of my brand.”

“I don't know how to start building my brand.”

“I'm not sure if I'm branding myself correctly.”

“I struggle to find my area of expertise.”

INTEGRATING: 26 – 50
For scores from 26 to 35, it's highly likely that you have a unique name.  Before you proceed with the Integrate step, take a look at the Define step above.  Do you know what you want to be known for?  If so, then stay right here.  If you're unsure, then the Define step might be for you.

In this score range, you may be fairly active on social media accounts or you have personal brand landing pages set-up.  Chances are, your use of them is sporadic and you may not have even considered how to use your accounts to your advantage.

Google is still largely in control of your online presence.  In order for you to take control and begin to push Google to the side, you need to consider building a comprehensive digital brand.

Symptoms of the Integrate Step
“I don't know how to increase my visibility.”

“I'm invisible online.”

“I need more exposure for my brand.”

“I want to build a comprehensive brand.”

“I want to get found in search results.”

“I'm an expert but no one knows it.”

CREATING: 51 – 75
Great job!  You are definitely moving in the right direction.  But…there's always a but right?  If you want to position yourself as an expert then content creation is for you.  If you have a higher score in this step, chances are you're probably already creating content.  But what type of content and to what end?

The Create step, when done right, allows you to position yourself and your brand as the go-to expert in your industry or field.  It begins to position you as a thought leader and someone who can be sought after for advice and guidance.  Download the Create Step eBook below and continue to position yourself as the expert you are.

“I am an expert but nobody knows it.”

“I want to be seen as a businesswoman.”

“I want to position myself as an expert but I don't know how.”

ENGAGING: 76 and Up
It's true.  You've got it going on online.  Your efforts are paying off, you're getting found online and chances are you starting to get recognized for your expertise now.  It's time to keep the momentum going and start engaging with your audience.

“I'm not a fan of networking.”

“I don't know how to reach out to influencers.”

“How do I establish my credibility?”

“I want to become a trusted advisor.”

“How can I attract the right clients?”

“I don't know how to engage my community.”
