RECOMMENDED BOOK(S) FROM THE SHOW
Cachet is currently reading a book written by Thomas J. Stanley called:
The Millionaire Next Door (Affiliate link)
Summary from Amazon – The Millionaire Next Door identifies seven common traits that show up again and again among those who have accumulated wealth. Most of the truly wealthy in this country don't live in Beverly Hills or on Park Avenue-they live next door.
CARRER COACHING
Cachet has created a Brand New version of herself a few times now. She started her career in HR and admissions. But because her family moves regularly Cachet decided to start “portable” business that could move with her.
Her business, virtual cachet, leveraged her experience in HR and administrations to help small biz owners with HR administration when they had none or needed additional assistance.
While she enjoyed the job she realized it wasn’t aligned with her passion which is to help people write resumes and prepare for interviews.
Asking herself, “Why not you?” as Joseph Michael suggests we do, Cachet decided to dive in and learn more so she began seeking out her ideal clients and, as a result, her career coaching business, Career Cachet was born.
YOUR CAREER STORY
More than a resume writer, Cachet works with her clients to uncover the “story” behind their career. Cachet wants everyone to know that you do have a career story and you need to take charge of it. Don’t let others tell your story for you.
To help you tell your story, Cachet recommends keeping a professional journal. This journal will help you remember things you’ve done that might otherwise be forgotten by tracking your victories during your journey.
CARRER CLOSET
Cachet is helping her community by holding a clothing drive. As the saying goes,
“When you look good, you feel good!”
In an effort to provide some well-deserving women with professional clothing that makes them look and feel good, Cachet invites you to take part in the first ever Back to Work: Career Closet Donation Drive.
If you are interested in donating send Cachet an email at the email address below. You can also read more HERE.
CAREER BRANDING
Career branding is an overall look at who you are, what it is you do, and what you bring to the table. Cachet helps her clients craft their message. You need to solidify the details of your message because if you’re clear on it how can you expect others to be clear on it.
Cachet also helps students create a statement of purpose which essentially is a good hard look at themselves by asking them to define what they were put on this earth to do.
