[PROMOTE – Share Message] I ask for testimonials at the end of my final meeting with clients. I hope you do as well. It’s the time when they are most excited about the future and they still have the experience of our engagement fresh in their mind.
I ask five questions, but the questions have a distinct order to produce a better more relatable, and relevant testimonial. The questions I ask are, in order:
1 – What problem were you experiencing before we started working together?
2 – How did that problem make you feel?
3 – What did you do to try and resolve the problem before we started working together?
4 – Why did you choose us to help you?
5 – How do you see your business improving as a result of our work together?
BONUS – If someone was on the fence about working with me and I sent them to you, what advice would give them?
Every response provides relatable answers and gives you customer language you can use in sales calls, emails, content, and copy.
